Mañana viernes 7 de abirl, a partir de las 17h, en los mejores bares de Barcelona, capital europea de la cerveza craft, un evento que todo buen cervecero y mejor persona no se puede perder.

Hace un mes vinieron a Barcelona los chicos de Kings Brewing desde Rancho Cucamonga, California, con una maleta cargada de latas de litro de sus diferentes elaboraciones, que solo algunos afortunados pudieron degustar en el BierCaB. La relación nació a través de un cliente del BierCaB que en un viaje a L.A. conoció una nueva cervecera (8 meses en el mercado). Se trajo una lata de ellos, la Juice Bomb. A Manolo (BierCaB) le gustó mucho y la compartió en redes sociales. Kings Brewing  lo vio y se pusieron en contacto con Manolo para estudiar la posibilidad de hacer una cerveza para el bar, con la condición de que los lúpulos no fueran americanos. Así es que se decidieron por las variedades Summit y Columbus, que a pesar de ser americanos se cultivan en León. Buscaron con qué cerveceros locales poder hacer la colaboración y así es como llegaron a Barcelona con la maleta llena de latas. Tuvieron tiempo de hacer varias colaboraciones con diferentes cerveceros, desde Barcelona, pasando por  Valls de Torroella hasta Pamplona. De estas visitas salió el motivo por el cual hoy estamos aquí:

  • 4 colaboraciones por una buena causa.
  • 4 Juice Double IPA fresquísimas para ayudar a Darlene en su lucha.

Cuando los cerveceros que habían hecho las colaboraciones con Kings Brewing se enteraron de la enfermedad de Darlene, decidieron donar parte de la recaudación a la causa. La recaudación irá destinada a ayudar a cubrir los costes de la operación de Darlene, hija del cervecero de Kings Brewing Co. que sufre una rara variante de cáncer y necesita urgentemente un tratamiento.

Tomorrow Friday, the 7th from 5pm on, in the best bars in Barcelona, European capital of craft beer, an event that can not be missed by every good brewer and good person.

A month ago the boys of Kings Brewing from Rancho Cucamonga, California came with a suitcase full of liter cans of their different recipes, that only some lucky ones could taste at BierCaB.  The relationship was born through a BierCaB client who on a trip to L.A. met this new brewery (8 months in the market). He bought a can of Juice Bomb. Manolo (BierCaB) liked it a lot and shared it in social networks. Kings Brewing  saw it and got in touch with Manolo to check the possibility of making a beer for the bar, on the condition that the hops were not American. Se they decided on the varieties Summit and Columbus, which despite being American are grown in León. They looked for some local breweries to be able to make the collaboration and this is how they arrived to Barcelona with a suitcase full of cans. During their stay in the city they had time to make several collaborations with different brewers, from Barcelona, Valls de Torroella and Pamplona. The reason why we write this post today come from these visits:

  • 4 collaborations for a good cause.
  • 4 Juice Double IPA fresh to help Darlene in her fight.

When the brewers who had made the collaborations with Kings Brewing knew about Darlene’s disease, they decided to donate part of the benefits to the cause. The income will go to help cover the costs of Darlene’s operation, the daughter of the brewer of Kings Brewing Co. who suffers a rare variant of cancer and urgently needs treatment.
